One of the newest landmarks in the Pigeon Forge landscape is The Island, an oasis of great food and entertainment right on the strip. When you visit the Island you can tell an instant difference between it’s placid yet vibrant atmosphere and the usual hustle and bustle of the main Pigeon Forge drag. The Island features restaurants, shopping, attractions, and The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, a 200 foot tall Ferris Wheel attraction. The Island in Pigeon Forge is close to Gatlinburg, and features restaurants, gift shops, rides, eateries and more.
A giant state of the art arcade, a beautiful flying horse carousel ride and more are just part of the fun things to do at The Island. The best thing about the arcade is that you no longer have to keep up with tokens, tickets and quarters from your kids because all of that info is stored on pre-paid arcade cards that are redeemed for prizes after the kids (or adults) have won tickets at the vast array of cutting edge games. Everyone will enjoy Mellow Mushroom, Timberwood Grill, Island Yogurt and Dude’s Daiquiri’s, as well as The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel.
And year-round The Island will be host to several concerts in their outdoor pavilion, not too mention the soon to arrive Margaritaville.
